Schemes: Controls for the design cornucopia.
In designing weaves, you will
spend most of your time working
in the Design window, with
trips to the Tools windows to
control color, repeats, and copy
& paste editing.
When you want WeaveMaker to
create patterns on its own, you
will turn to the cornucopia tool
(second from the top left in the
Tools window) and the
Schemes window. Having
WeaveMaker create spontaneous
patterns is very easy
(please see Cornucopia in section four for more information).
To create your own fabric
designs, or modify ones which
WeaveMaker creates, you
should read the next two sections
(“Design Window” and
WeaveMaker gives you powerful
tools for incorporating
colors into your designs. Colors
are created within palettes.
Think of a palette as a color
database which stores colors
until you need them. Colors
are (literally) dragged from a
palette into a colorway for use
in a fabric. Creating multiple
colorways is quick and convenient.
Please see Colorways (section 22) for more information about colorways.
